Young people are special: Our beloved King |
Last week, my wife's Aunt dropped her only son at a certain college after he was selected for a certain program in that college. It was a big day in their life. Finally, someone in the family was going to graduate from a college in the country. And now a week later I was told that my wife's cousin's admission in that college was not accepted anymore. After a week? I don't understand this. Didn't the college authority do a background check earlier? I don't know if things can get any embarrassing than that! I always thought college was a special place where someone can improve himself/herself and a place to inspire individuals to do great many things.
A year ago, my wife's cousin with his friends, was apprehended (I was told) by police personnel rubbing grasses in the thick woods. And we thought the talk was over once these boys were released. Other than that small mistake, this boy is a special and intelligent kid. The youth can go wrong at times. And when they do we must give all we can to guide them to bring them to right path. But I find this decision by that college authority nothing short of cruelty.
Tonight my wife's cousin will spend a sleepless night. An embarrassing one at that! But justice will be sought and blogs and petitions would be submitted until something comes out.
What happens when someone's dreams are destroyed thus?
